Director of Finance job posting
Reporting to the executive director, the director of finance will define the process and implement the
infrastructure/systems needed to support organizational growth over the next five to 10 years. She/he will
continue to build and manage effective and streamlined administrative/financial systems, including
financial, accounting, insurance and information technology. This position is responsible for the fiscal
management, accounting and office operations and administration of the organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- The ability to conduct operational accounting and knowledge of sound financial management
procedures. - The ability to provide executive financial management support to Options’ Executive Director and
Board of Directors. - Skilled in the preparation and reporting of automated financial statements.
- The ability to coordinate annual audit with audit firm.
- The ability to understand and report financial operational matters and the monitoring of the
investment account.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (MA/MBA preferred) in Business, Management, or Finance
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic
team - Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector
- Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies,
and guiding investment in people and systems - Proven effectiveness in finance and accounting
- Technologically savvy, with an ability to point to examples of having worked with IT staff to
develop and implement new processes and systems that increased efficiency in a fast-moving
environment - Flexible and a self-starter; able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented.

Additional Details: This position has been designed as a full-time hourly exempt position at
32 to 40 hours per week.
